The Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Love Field, built in the late 1980’s, is a quintessential example of the Embassy Suites brand, easily recognizable by the iconic multi-story atrium space, grand fountain and park-like setting. With the hotel nestled in a business park outside of Dallas-Love Field Airport, the client had a desire to re-align the interior atmosphere to better appeal to the modern business traveler.

We were challenged to integrate a fresh contemporary look into the existing shell with a unique split-level atrium. In response, we developed a cohesive upscale experience, using recurring design elements along the main path of travel to reinforce the visual and physical connection between the entry space and the 9-story atrium. The main social components are reorganized within the upper and the lower atrium spaces using encapsulating stained wood beams, local materials and contemporary furniture pieces, creating a more approachable and ultimately more communal atmosphere.
