Ryan Gootee General Contractors Office Building
After working successfully together on multiple projects, Ryan Gootee General Contractors asked SCNZ to provide design services to convert a utilitarian 9,000 SF former telecommunications switching facility into their new corporate headquarters.
As part of the extensive interior and exterior renovation, we made use of the generous floor to floor heights by exposing the existing waffle slab construction from below for a dramatic ceiling condition. This volume allows natural light to filter through the perimeter offices into the central support spaces via polycarbonate transom panels. These spaces, carved from an organic wood panel enclosure, include mail and copy areas and the bid room, custom tailored to meet their hectic bid day needs.
