A seasoned architect with experience designing for educational, institutional, and military environments, Matt Norton is fascinated by the interplay between modern and traditional design. With more than three decades of building design study, he has served as an architectural critic on design juries and is an accredited LEED professional for sustainable design. He is passionate about adaptive reuse and is always seeking opportunities to incorporate art in architecture.
Norton attended Columbia University for his undergraduate work and earned his Master's in Architecture at Yale. Norton was appointed by the New Orleans Mayor to serve as a Central Business District-Historic District Landmarks Commissioner and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Learning Environments Louisiana Chapter. On the weekends, Norton can be found checking out live local music around New Orleans, enjoying City Park, and spending time with his many nieces and nephews.
