New Orleans is filled with history, mystery, romance, and charm. The French Quarter offers visitors an experience for their senses. Live music, historic architecture, world class cuisine and a good time can be found around almost every corner. When BlueGreen Vacations acquired the historic conglomeration of seven properties on Decatur Street, they tasked SCNZ with designing a renovation that would tie them all together and reflect that essence of New Orleans.

By embracing the New Orleans’ eclectic and whimsical nature, we were able to weave this varied group of buildings together into one congruent resort. From the roof deck at the top to the ground floor lobby, the La Pension Resort was completely remediated, renovated, and upgraded. The property now reflects the heart and soul of the city, displaying the work of local artists, welders, musicians, and millworkers. Vacation villas are now graceful blends of vintage silver gray tones mixed with polished wood beams and one-of-a-kind eclectic art pieces.
