The oceanfront Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Hotel & Resort, located by the beautiful Channel Islands Harbor, is the only all-suite beachfront resort in Southern California. However, the public spaces in the resort were outdated and in need of improvements.

We took a holistic approach to upgrading the guest experience throughout the resort. All guest spaces were situated to overlook the pool and covered patio. We completely refreshed and reorganized these spaces, giving the resort a more contemporary feel, while still not losing touch with original Mission-Style architecture. In addition to new finishes and ADA accommodations, we reorganized the front desk and lobby area to be more efficient and inviting. The restaurant was redesigned for better flow and flexibility to allow both table service and buffet dining, and the bar was updated to provide better cocktail service. The existing poolside “Surf Room” was also renovated to include concessions, a family room, exercise room, spa, and office space.
